CORNELL TAKES PROACTIVE APPROACH TO STRIP CLUBS

A Chippewa County city is taking a proactive approach in an effort to prevent strip clubs from opening there.
Apparently, Cornell officials have been paying attention to the situation in nearby Thorp where a gentleman's club has caused quite a controversy.
Thursday night, the Cornell City Council approved an ordinance prohibiting alcohol from being sold in any adult business, any entertainers would need a city license and adult businesses would have to be at least 1,000 feet from schools or churches.
The Clark County Law Enforcement Committee is looking into their own ordinance.
