A 58-year-old Granton man, on the lam since June, is in custody.
Stephen Kohl was arrested Thursday night at around 6:40 p.m.—two hours after the Clark County Sheriff\'s Department received an anonymous tip.
Kohl was apprehended in the Lindsey area in Wood County without incident. It appeared that Kohl had been staying at the location for an undetermined period.
According to a press release, the information leading to Kohl\'s arrest was a direct result of assistance provided by media and tips from the public and area law enforcement.
Investigators from Clark County have been actively pursuing Kohl as a fugitive since he failed to appear for a jury trial, scheduled for June 4, 2007. He\'s charged with sexually assaulting two 8-year-old girls.
