MISSING UW-LA CROSSE STUDENT FOUND DEAD

A UW-La Crosse student’s body was pulled from the Mississippi River Monday morning – two days after he disappeared after a night of OktoberFest drinking.
Police recovered the body of 21-year-old Luke Homan after a search that involved several law enforcement departments, search dogs, dive teams, and Homan's family and friends.
Homan was a standout prep student athlete at Brookfield Central High School who also starred for the UW-La Crosse basketball team.
Homan is the eighth young man since 2004 found dead in the Mississippi River in the La Crosse area. The City’s mayor has called for residents to curtail binge drinking.
