Tuesday, August 15th, 2006 -- 12:25 pm Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director
New Census figures show Hispanics account for four-point-five percent of the state's population, up from three-point-five percent five years ago. Between 1990 and 2000, the number of Hispanics in the state more than doubled. As of 2005, the census bureau estimates there were 242-thousand 287 Hispanics in Wisconsin. The figures show that Wisconsin's total population grew just two-tenths of a percent between 2000 and 2005.
