SEVERE STORMS BRING HAIL, RAIN AND WIND
Tuesday, July 25th, 2006 -- 10:50 am
Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director

Heavy rains, wind and even some big hail accompanied strong storms that moved through the northern half of Clark County Monday evening.

The National Weather Service in La Crosse received reports of nearly two-inch in diameter hail near Thorp and 50 mph wind gusts, but their rain totals are being questioned by some area residents.

NWS storm reporters say the Hatfield area received about four-tenths of an inch of rain and Taylor County received just over an inch in some spots, but we’ve had reports from several area listeners who said they recorded over 2.5-inches.
