Police say rumors circulating around Wisconsin Rapids that a missing 21-year woman has been found are not true.

“We’ve been hearing rumors all week long. It takes up more of our time, it adds anxiety to the family,” says Wisconsin Rapids Deputy Chief Randy Jahns of the unfounded rumors that Deidre Harm was found.

She was last seen at a local tavern June 11. She was observed at the Finish Line in Wisconsin Rapids with an unknown male. The two then walked to the New Body Shop where she they were reportedly seen talking with another couple.

Authorities are trying hard to figure out who Ms. Harm was with the night she went missing.

“She obviously was with them on her own freewill and probably left with them on her own freewill,” Jahns states, noting their was no attention-grabbing disturbance when she left with the man.

“We believe she probably left with at least one of these people on her own,” Jahns says.

Harm is 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighs 145 pounds and has long red hair. She has a star tattoo on her right arm and on her left arm, she has a purple star with the name and birthday of her daughter, Vegas, who was born Jan. 29.

Her family says she would never leave here daughter.

“They would know better than we would and there is no indication to us that she would leave for this amount of time on her own,” Jahns says.

The public has chimed in with tips, but to date, none have panned out.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department at 423-4444. Callers also can remain anonymous by calling Wood County Crime Stoppers at 1-877-325-7867.
