Another Blast of Winter for Central Wisconsin

-The snow storm that we’ve been hearing about since early this week finally bore down on us last night and continues into this morning.

A Winter Storm Warning is still in effect for our area until Noon today. The heaviest of the snow is over, so you can expect light snowfall to continue this morning keeping the roads slick. Not only that, the freezing rain and sleet that came through before the storm has put a layer of ice underneath the snow that continues to fall.

Due to that freezing rain, there are some areas that lost power and most schools in our area are closed including Neillsville, Abbotsford, Spencer, Greenwood, Marshfield , Thorp, Owen-Withee, Stanley-Boyd and Colby.

Once this storm moves on don’t expect Spring to make an appearance yet. Temperatures will only be in the teens for most of the week and down to the single digits by the end of next week.
