Neillsville Chamber of Commerce Recognition Banquet, Part 9

-The Neillsville Chamber of Commerce held their recognition banquet at the Neillsville American Legion.

Dr. Greg Foster, the presenter of the awards, named the businesses that celebrated an anniversary in 2013. Sav-Rite Building Center was honored for 35 years of service.

Dr. Foster said, "The Sav-Rite Building Center was founded on January 16th, 1978 by Bob Barth, Don Quicker and Louie Grap. Sadly, Louie passed away suddenly from a passive heart attack in 1980, leaving Bob and Don to continue on as co-owners of the business. In the early 1980s, when interest rates spike, many lumber yards closed their doors, but Sav-Rite weathered the storm."

Bob and Kathy Barth were very pleased to accept this award.

"There are so many different people to thank," said Bob. "We've been blessed to be in a small community and small communities are the backbone of any area. Sav-Rite Building Center has had the pleasure of servicing and supplying building supplies for a lot of people in the area and the surrounding communities over the years and we thank you for that. We've had a lot of excellent employees over the years. A lot of long term employees we're very blessed for."

Congratulations to Sav-Rite Building Center.
