“24th Annual” Adult Women’s Volleyball Tournament Results

The Neillsville Recreation Department held their “24th Annual” Adult Women’s Tournament on Saturday, February 8th at the Neillsville Fieldhouse.

Fourteen teams competed in the women’s tourney with “Undecided “ of Eau Claire being crowned the champion. Members of their team included; Courtney Johnson, Joan Ebnet, Traci Hollister, Kendra Pagel, Megan Fetzer and Theresa Hirsch.

Placing second was “Athens” with “Spike In Your Face” from Mondovi placing third and “Still Got It” from Marshfield rounding out the top four. “Team Franke” from Marshfield captured 5th place as they slid by “Loos Machine & Automation” of Colby.
Placing 7th was “Olynicks” of Gilman with “Spike Punch” of Eau Claire grabbing 8th place. In the consolation championship, “Looney’s” of Marshfield won the title as they edged JBC Screen Printing” of Neillsville. Members of the local team included: Kate & Amanda Mueller, Claire Brown, Kelly Diggins, Mindy Kren and Cassie Harder.
The “Bunk House” of Augusta secured 11th place with “Semi-Pro” of Sparta, “Diggin & Swiggin” of Marshfield and “Little Bull Falls/Livie’s Light” of Pittsville rounding out the standings.

The Recreation Department also sponsored their, “1st Annual, Coed 4’s Tourney” later in the day. Winning the initial title was “Set Me Maybe” of River Falls, with “Kren/Hanson” of Cadott settling for second place. Also attaining the semi-finals were “Team Bruhn” of Spencer & “Zalisniak” of Marshfield.
Also participating were: teams from Neillsville, Rice Lake, Greenwood, Marshfield, Colby and Eau Claire.

The Rec. Dept. would like to thank the Green Lantern, Buck’s Dollar Bar, Drippy Creek Saloon, Deagens, Apple Valley Bar & Grill, Brickyard Bar & Grill, Gordy’s Market and Hanson’s IGA for their support in sponsoring the very successful tourney.
