A woman already sentenced for her role in covering up Christine Rudy’s murder has entered a plea of guilty to a somewhat related charge in Clayton County, Iowa.

19-year-old Heather Teschler is serving an 8-month jail sentence for her role in assisting Shaun Rudy cover up the murder. Now, she has filed a written plea of “guilty” to one count of 2nd-degree burglary for her role in a break-in in Guttenburg, Iowa.

Authorities allege over $5,000 of property was stolen from a home there.

Among the stolen items were three firearms - one of which is believed to be the weapon Shaun used to shoot Christine.

Clayton County Attorney Kevin Clefisch tells Central Wisconsin Broadcasting News that he’s in plea negotiations with Ms. Teschler’s defense.

A pre-sentence investigation is underway and will be complete by the August 22nd plea and sentencing date.

In Iowa, 2nd-degree burglary is a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and $10,000 in fines.
