Chippewa Falls McDonell clinched the Western Cloverbelt Volleyball title after beating Thorp last night 3-0. After the Regional Finals this past Saturday, several area teams are still alive in the WIAA State Girls Volleyball Tournament with Sectional play this Thursday and Saturday. [ 
The State Boys and Girls Cross Country Meet will be held this Saturday at The Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids and a number of area athletes and teams have qualified. [ 
The Clark County Department of Public Health is still waiting for another shipment of H1N1 vaccines. [ 
Greek officials have conducted the final rehearsal for the kindling of the Olympic flame that will burn at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games. 
An elderly Chili man has died of injuries sustained in a car vs. train accident almost two weeks ago. [ 
The 16th Annual Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Girls Team Tennis Championships will be held this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 23-24. The meet takes place at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium on the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison.
The regular season will end this Thursday in high school football with a battle for 3rd place in the Cloverbelt Conference as Neillsville plays host to Osseo-Fairchild. [ 
The Osseo-Fairchild girls cross country team won the Cloverbelt Conference Meet in Loyal on Saturday while Eau Claire Regis won the boy's title. [ 
With two games left in the regular season, area high school football teams are looking to become playoff eligible. [
