-A Pittsville woman has been charged after her pit bulls attacked a Wood County Sheriff’s Deputy.

At the end of September, the deputy attempted a routine traffic stop in Pittsville, but 48-year-old Cora Fuller refused to stop and fled into her home. When the deputy stopped and finally made contact with her, she refused to perform a field sobriety test and her pit bulls got out of the house and attacked the deputy. He was forced to shoot both dogs.

Fuller has one charge of resisting an officer filed against her and if convicted she could face several months of jail time and a $1,500 fine.
