Clark County Board of Supervisors Passes Second Reading of Gun Ordinance

-The Clark County Board of Supervisors passed the second reading of the new county gun ordinance at their meeting on Thursday of last week.

Sheriff Greg Herrick strongly encouraged them to accept this ordinance calling it more user friendly. By passing this ordinance it would take a misdemeanor crime and turn it into a civil forfeiture. Meaning instead of having a criminal record you would have a forfeiture fine similar to that of a speeding ticket. In other words you pay money and money only for your charge. There would be no misdemeanor crime for a penalty.

In the end the supervisors passed it with 23 voting yes and 2 voting no.
