ACTING FIRE CHIEF NAMED IN MARSHFIELD

While a permanent replacement for longtime Marshfield Fire Chief Gregg Cleveland won’t likely be named until the fall, the Fire and Police Commission has named an acting chief.
Deputy Fire Chief Ed Erickson is a 16-year veteran of the department. He was named Tuesday as acting chief of the Marshfield Fire and Rescue Department.
Cleveland will resign later this month to lead the fire department in La Crosse.
Erickson will serve as acting chief until the Marshfield Fire and Police Commission selects a new chief – possibly by September.
