ONE STUDENT INJURED IN BUS CRASH DIES

A 14-year-old Tri-County Area School student has died of injuries sustained in a bus versus semi accident.
David Senft died Wednesday, a day after a semi rear-ended the school bus he was a passenger in.
The crash occurred on HWY 73 near Plainfield on Tuesday afternoon. Six students were injured as well as the drivers. They were taken to four different hospitals in Neenah, Madison, Marshfield and Stevens Point.
It remains unclear what caused the accident. The driver, Barry Jacobson, had a good driving record and there weren’t obvious mechanical problems with the semi. He remains hospitalized.
