Neillsville Man Receives Charges During Bankruptcy Proceedings

-A Neillsville man has been charged with concealing assets during a bankruptcy proceeding.

According to a report, Brett Pohle, age 45, was filing for bankruptcy and allegedly concealed, from creditors and the U.S. Trustee, nine firearms and a camper in April of 2008, and that in July 2008, he provided bill of sale containing false information.

The indictment also alleges that in February 2011, he corruptly persuaded another person to falsify testimony before a federal grand jury.

Pohle is charged with concealing assets in a bankruptcy proceeding, falsifying a record in a bankruptcy proceeding, and witness tampering.

If convicted, Pohle faces a maximum penalty of five years in federal prison on each count of concealing assets and falsifying a record, and 20 years on the witness tampering charge.
