Abby Vans Host Business After 5

-The Neillsville Chamber of Commerce held a Business After 5 event on Tuesday.
The gracious hosts of the event were Mark and Peggy Jones of Abby Vans and those that attended were able to take a tour of the new facility located in the old Sunburst School Building.
Peggy showed the different offices, dispatch center, IT room and explained some of the inner workings of the business.
She explained how their drivers are called and e-mailed to let them know what their schedule for the evening will be. The drivers all use Android phones that sync up with the computers back at the office, which lets the dispatch center know when a driver reaches their destination.
This provides great accountability on Abby Vans behalf and allows them to show potential problem clients that they meet their obligations.
Abby Vans has drivers in a large portion of the state and they keep the company’s vehicles at their homes and start their days as soon as they leave the driveway. Peggy also mentioned that they usually allow their drivers to work a 12 hour day at max because longer days can be hard on the drivers.
