Minor Items From Recent Neillsville City Council Meeting

-There were a few minor items brought up during the communications portion of the recent Neillsville City Council meeting.
The city attorney mentioned a couple court proceedings for property here in Neillsville. One of those was the Christie building. The owners of the building were given until the end of February to get it up to code. At that point, the Neillsville Fire Chief and Director of Public Works will have one week to check the building and make sure it’s up to code.
If it isn’t, the trial on March 4th will determine the fate of the building.
Mayor Steve Mabie also mentioned a few Neillsville athletes for their recent incredible performances. Mayor Mabie mentioned Daina Shilts, Jake Waltemate, and Jenny Lindner and said they should be congratulated for putting Neillsville on the map.
Finally, a council member gave a mention of the city taxi service and its new workings with the City of Stanley. A hearing on the Water Standpipe in Neillsville was briefly mentioned as well.
