12th Annual Women's Alumni Volleyball Tournament Held

On Saturday, Feb. 9th, 12 teams participated in the 12th Annual Women's Alumni Volleyball Tournament in Neillsville. Called "Diggin' for a Cause", the tournament proceeds went to the Breast Cancer Awareness Association.
In the championship game it was Beavis and Bump Head defeating Amanda's Amoral Awesome Athletes.
Members of the champion Beavis and Bump Head team included: Caitlynne Naughton '13, Lindsey Opelt '13, Kayla Opelt '10, Tabby Huth '10, Arielle Bixby '11, and Courtney Opelt '11.
Members of the runners up included: Kate Mueller '96, Amanda Mueller '00, Claire (McConnell) Brown '04, Kelly (McConnell) Dunek '01, Julia (McConnell) Diggins '98 and Becky (Larsen) Bauer '02.
Neillsville High School Alumni from as far back as 1978 participated in the tournament.
The organizers of the event would like to thank the Neillsville Schools for the use of the Fieldhouse and members of the NHS volleyball team who donated time to officiate.
