UPDATE: Three Car Pile-Up Near Fairchild

-The Clark County Sheriff’s Department is continuing an investigation into a three vehicle crash that sent 13 people to area hospitals on Sunday, February 10th.
The crash occurred around 3:30 Sunday afternoon near Hickman Road in Fairchild. According to the Sheriff’s Department, an eastbound vehicle lost control in the slushy roads, sideswiped one westbound vehicle, and then struck a second westbound vehicle almost head on.
There were seven victims in the striking vehicle, five in the vehicle struck head on, and one in the sideswiped vehicle.
The victims were transported to the Mayo Health Systems-Oakridge Hospital in Osseo, Black River Memorial Hospital, and Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
The victim’s exact conditions are unknown at this time. However, the Clark County Sheriff’s Department did say that some were treated and released and some are in critical condition. Three of the victims needed to be extracted from their vehicle.
