-A Taylor County man was found guilty of possessing explosives.

Patrick Staton, of Medford, was arrested back in April because he had allegedly been making improvised explosive devices and planned to kill a Taylor County judge, district attorney and sheriff's department detective.

The charges filed against Staton include possession of improvised explosives, four counts of felony bail jumping, one count of misdemeanor bail jumping, possession of drug paraphernalia, and threat to a judge.

The jury heard testimony on Tuesday and Wednesday. They returned to the courthouse Thursday morning and deliberated for almost three hours before coming up with a verdict.

In the end, Staton was found guilty of every charge except for the charge of threat to a judge.

Staton will be sentenced in April.
