Greenwood Selected by WEDC

-The City of Greenwood was selected for the Connect Communities Program by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
Under this program, the city hopes to attract new business to the downtown area. The WEDC will help by providing assistance and resources to help revitalize downtown Greenwood and urban commercial districts.
Greenwood has already done a lot of work on Main Street the past several years, but they wanted to do more.
The city is hoping that community members will get involved and help with business recruitment and retention and with the design and promotion of tourism.
By being a part of the Connect Communities Program Greenwood can apply for the Wisconsin Main Street program in two years which will open a door for all new opportunities.
WEDC launched Connect Communities in October. Greenwood was part of the first group of communities selected to participate in the program.
