Marshfield Sex Offender Back in Jail

-A sex offender, living in Marshfield, is back in jail after having new charges in Marathon County filed against him.
The charges against Nicholas Greuel, age 23, include three counts of possession of child pornography and two counts of photographing a minor without the child’s consent. He is currently being held on a 10,000 dollar cash bond and could spend 82 years in prison if convicted of the new charges.
According to a report, two probation agents contacted the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department during a routine home visit for assistance with an uncooperative offender.
During the search, police found several violations of Greuel’s probation including owning a cellphone, having pornographic pictures, and having contact with a minor.
A preliminary hearing on the Marathon County charges is set for Feb. 13.
