-Amy Jahnke, Interim CNRED Educator of Clark County, gave a report on the Clark County Fair at Tuesday’s Neillsville City Council Meeting.

The purpose of the study was to see the economic impact the fair had on our area and to help with future management of the grounds.

Amy spent all five days at the fair and offered an incentive to those that filled out her survey. “At first, people didn’t want to fill out the survey, but when I offered them string cheese for doing it they got really excited about it,” Amy said.

The data provided a variety of interesting statistics. Taking a look at the raw data, over 440 unique surveys were completed. 56% of the respondents were female, 66% were married, and 36% had a high school diploma.

The data also showed that 76% had an average income of 80,000 dollars or less, had an average group size of 3 people at the fair, and that the attendance between 1 day, 23%, was almost identical to those that attended all 5 days, 24%. “As you can see all types of people with a variety of education and income levels come to the fair,” Amy said.

We'll have more on the data next week.
