Marshfield Man Sentenced for Walgreens Robbery

-A Marshfield man is going to jail for robbing the Walgreens back in June.
Dusting Fritz, age 31, was sentenced to 10 years in prison to be followed by three years of extended supervision.
Fritz entered the Walgreens in Marshfield wearing a mask and armed with a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun.
He ordered employees and customers on the floor and made the pharmacist give him drugs, stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of Oxycontin and Methadone.
Fritz fled on foot, but was spotted by an officer who told him to stop. Fritz pointed his weapon at the officer, took refuge in a nearby auto shop and stayed there for two hours before he finally surrendered.
Fritz said his use of Oxycontin for a snowboarding injury as a teenager had led to an addiction which then led to heroin use, followed by seven years of methadone treatment.
No one was injured during the robbery.
