Stratford Man Has Status Conference in Marathon County Court

-A Stratford man made an appearance in Marathon County Court on Tuesday.
Thirty-year-old William Bowden has charges of homicide by drunken driving, OWI, and others filed against him after the death of his friend Timothy Spindler in January.
The two men were ice fishing Jan. 7 on the Big Eau Pleine Reservoir when the vehicle Bowden was driving broke through the ice. Bowden escaped, but the 34-year-old Spindler drowned.
Bowden appeared with his attorneys, John and Damon Stichert and Kenneth Heimerman appeared for the state.
Judge Greg Grau issued a search warrant for DNA from Bowden at the request of the prosecutor.
Bowden’s bond will continue as well.
