Neillsville Girls BB Wins 29th In a Row

The Neillsville girls basketball team started the season last night where they left off last year, with a win.
The Warriors downed Owen-Withee 45-37 to win their 29th game in a row.
Neillsville got out to a 16-4 first quarter lead, but the Blackhawks fought back to take a 20-19 lead in the second quarter before Neillsville was able to score some late quarter points and take a 26-22 halftime lead.
In the second half Neillsville was able to hang onto their lead but not without a fight from the scrappy Owen-Withee team. Neillsville outscored the Blackhawks in the half 19-15.
Jenny Lindner led the Warriors with 19 points including four 3 pointers. Neillsville was 7-10 from the free-throw line.
Bailey Karaba led Owen-Withee with 13 points, including 4 for 4 from the free-throw line in the second half. The Blackhawks shot 10 -13 from the line.
