Marshfield Voters Pass School Referendum
Thursday, November 8th, 2012 -- 8:56 am
Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director

-Marshfield voters passed a referendum for their schools.

The referendum passed 56% to 44%. The 10 million dollars will be spent over four years and used to keep key classes and activities open.

This amount is smaller however, compared to the current referendum that was about to expire.

The Marshfield Superintendent was very pleased with the results saying it shows that Marshfield residents want the best education possible for their children and that they are pleased with the district and its programs.

School officials say without this referendum, they would have had to cut staff and programs like band and AP classes.
