Opelt And Dux Competing in Iowa

Phillip Opelt and Luke Dux of Neillsville are competing in the Pre-Season Nationals this weekend in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Opelt, a senior, competed in the 126 pound weight class of the high school division on Saturday. Opelt won his first match 6-3 over Andres Gonzalez (Sebolt Wrestlin). In his next match, Opelt was beaten by Hunter Slifka (Cresco)6-4. Opelt then finished the day winning two matches and losing one in the consolation bracket. Over 125 wrestlers were in the 126 pound weight class.
Luke Dux, a second grader, will wrestle today in the grade school 45 pound weight class.
