Local Man Wins Powerlifting Competition

-A local man recently had an impressive win at the Invitational Powerlifting World Championship Meet at the Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
John Grenz won the competition in his age group and weight class. John competed in the 40-44 age group and the 275-308 weight class.
John also won in the open class which allows all ages to compete in the same weight class.
The competition had competitors from over a dozen different countries and 30 of the 50 United States.
John said, “The lift was a raw lift, with nothing to help you with it. The competition was also drug tested so there could be no steroids involved.”
John said, “My goal was to break the record, but I just wasn’t feeling it that day. I am going back though, to try and break it.”
