Amateur Boxing Night Results

The Community Boxing Club, along with the Neillsville VFW, hosted the 3rd Annual Amateur Boxing Show at the American Legion on Saturday, October 20th.
It was an action packed event, with 21 bouts, featuring boxers from 55 lbs up to 190 lbs, with boxing clubs from Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota competing. Boxing at 130 lbs, Nicholas May from Community Boxing Club lost a close match by Decision to Erick Velasquez from Milwaukee Christian Center. Boxing at 110 lbs, Devin Esterlen from Community Boxing Club lost by Decision to Zaide Meyer of Gust Gym in Marshfield. Boxing at 155 lbs, Jacob Waltemate of Community Boxing Club won by Decision over Cross Beaulieu of C&C Boxing.
Special Awards were presented at the end of the show. The "Best Bout of the Show" awards were presented to DeMarco Carter of Fords Gym in Madison and Montavis Smith of Milwaukee Christian Center. Two special awards were presented in honor of Merlin Lindow. "Outstanding Boxer of the Show" was awarded to Nicolas Johnson of Rick's Boxing in La Crosse, and "Outstanding Local Boxer" was presented to Jacob Waltemate of Community Boxing Club.
Community Boxing Club will be competing next at the Wisconsin Rapids Boxing Show on Saturday, November 10 at the WildHorse Inn in Wisconsin Rapids.
