Kapusta Advances to State After 2nd Place Finish

Cordell Kapusta of Neillsville finished 2nd at the Arcadia Sectional on Saturday to advance to the State Cross Country Meet.
Kapusta finished 2nd, behind Sasha Maro of Mondovi, with a time of 17:33. Jared Boon of Neillsville finished 11th and the team finished 5th in the 13 team field. Brookwood and Blair-Taylor finished first and second to advance to State.
Westby and Blair-Taylor advanced for the girls.
The top 2 teams and top 5 individuals not on those teams advanced to the State Cross Country Meet next Saturday in Wisconsin Rapids.
