Still No Change to Clark County Employee Handbook

-Still no changes to the Clark County Employee Handbook or benefits.
The Clark County Board of Supervisors met on Thursday night to discuss possible changes to the employee handbook and benefits.
Employees of Clark County are concerned about the changes as a result of ACT l0. However, board members have said that the changes will be necessary, because of the 2013 budget.
However, the resolutions were amended at the recent meeting.
In the past, the county had to negotiate with unions on wages and health insurance, but under ACT 10, they can impose any plan they want.
A couple big changes that are being worked are health insurance, paid time off for sick and/or vacation times, and hiring and promotions based on seniority.
