-At the Neillsville City Council meeting on Tuesday, the council discussed the items from the recent Economic Development meeting.

The city’s website and the Economic Development Committee’s budget were the two big items discussed. It was decided that an update to the website was critical to promote the city.

The total for the upgrade could cost 7,000 dollars, but the Listeman Foundation gave 4,000 dollars to help with the cost. The board decided to add 3,000 dollars to the 2013 budget to pay for the rest of the update.

The website would feature businesses, schools, the industrial park, and more to help promote the city.

The Commission on Economic Development also set a 2013 proposed budget of 70,500 dollars which will be presented to the finance committee.
