Students Enjoy Diversity Day

-Students from around the area got to enjoy Diversity Day at The Highground.
The students became a part of The Highground’s mission of healing and education.
There was a plethora of diverse presentation given. The students got to see demonstrations from the Slovenian, Native American, and Swedish cultures among others.
During a brief tour of The Highground, the students learned about respect, duty, honor and country.
The mission of Diversity Day is to celebrate our similarities and differences, to recognize misinformation, to claim pride in group identity, to understand the personal impact of discrimination through the telling of stories and to learn hands-on tools for dealing effectively with discriminating comments and behavior.
