Loyal and Greenwood City Council Meetings

-The Loyal and Greenwood Communities held their City Council meetings on Wednesday.
In Loyal, many items were tabled and budget items were discussed.
The city did decide to vacate a road in their industrial park. The road is located between two lots and was originally going to be used to gain access to another lot of the industrial park. However, two ponds were built on the lot for Northside Elevator, so the road was donated to them.
In Greenwood, the ATV ordinance has been passed. It is now legal for ATV’s to ride on the streets of Greenwood except on Hwy 73 and on G to cross the bridge. The snowmobile club will be putting up the signs to let DNR officials know that ATV’s can legally ride the streets.
Greenwood will also be meeting with the City of Loyal to discuss the renewal of their Sewer agreement. Currently, Loyal has put in a sewer line that comes to Greenwood’s treatment plant.
Greenwood charges Loyal for the line and they are going to discuss the rate and renewal with Loyal at a joint meeting.
