-Evidence from the tragic death of a Marshfield woman is being processed.

Maisie McCullough was murdered in her Marshfield home earlier this month. She had been stabbed in the back and her throat slit.

The evidence collected, including a large folding knife, clothing from the murder suspect, and other evidence, is being processed by the Wisconsin Crime Laboratory.

Gabriel Luis Campos, the suspect and father of McCullough’s 2-year-old son is being held in the Wood County Jail on a $5 million dollar cash bond.

Authorities expect him to be charged with first degree intentional homicide. The difference between first and second degree intentional homicide is whether or not there was intent to kill. In this case, investigators believe there was.

During the course of the investigation police found that McCullough had been the victim of domestic abuse in the past, which is significant in the prosecution of this case.

Campos faces life in prison if convicted of first-degree homicide.
