Red Cross Collects 78 Pints of Blood in Neillsville

-The Red Cross collected 78 pints of life saving blood at their recent blood drive.

The blood drive occurred at the Neillsville American Legion on Monday and the Red Cross wants to extend its deepest appreciation to all that donated.

The blood collected can help save the lives of over 234 patients.

Of those giving blood several have reached total amounts into the gallons. James Filitz has given 17 gallons. Gloria Hamm and Kenneth Schwanebeck have given 9 gallons. 8 gallons was donated by Kristen Schmidt. Kathy Turner and Kathleen Watson both donated 7 gallons. 5 gallons was given by Catherine Winter, Bonnie Thoma, Karlene Wallace, and Rollin Clark. Carol Milligan has donated 4 gallons. And 1 gallon was given by Rebecca Oldham and Samuel Faust. And Menno Swartzentruber gave blood for the first time.

The next blood drive will be November 12th at the Neillsville Legion.
