Neillsville Airport Discussed at City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council discussed the Neillsville airport at their recent meeting.
The airport is doing well this year. The budget is right where it should be for this time of year. However, there was one spot the budget was short. The committee is recommending that the runway budget be increased, as more is need to maintain the airport runway.
The Airport Committee is planning on giving a presentation to the County Budget and Finance Committee to help with some of the operation costs that go into running the airport.
The airport committee is also going to increase the land rental fee around the runway, as the owners of the land take good care of it and have respect for the land as it is around an active runway.
The committee also agreed to increase the cost of the hanger lease up to 175.00 dollars per year. There was also a stipulation that no more than 15-20% of the hanger could be used for storage other than airplanes.
