-According to the murder suspect of Maisie McCoullough, age 18 of Marshfield, he is “sorry” and he “didn’t mean for anything like that to happen.”

McCoullough was found by the mother of the murder suspect, Gabriel Campos. The autopsy confirmed tha she died from stab wounds to the back and her throat had been slit.

McCoullough had ended the relationship with Gabriel Campos after living with him, along with their 2-year-old son, for nearly three years.

Campos’ step father had said that Campos had told him he felt helpless and his life had never been worse.

Campos was arrested in Wisconsin Rapids without incident and his son was taken to his family.

Campos is in jail on a $5 million cash bond. Charges have not been formally filed, but Campos will remain in jail.

The investigation of the murder continues and Campos will return to court on October 1st.
