-The Clark County Board of Supervisors received Veterans and Register of Deeds reports at their recent meeting at the Clark County Healthcare Center in Owen.

Clinton Langreck, Veterans Service Officer for Clark County, said that Clark County’s veteran population has declined steadily over the years; however, the demand for the county’s services has increased.

A list of figures regarding the benefits the department has offered veterans was provided. The list of benefits includes education, disability, burial, and others.

A list of state provided benefits was also included; unfortunately the state side of the benefits has decreased.

Lois Hagedorn, Register of Deeds for Clark County also gave her report. She said that revenue for the county has increased. Lois also mentioned a big project they’re working on which is the transfer of paper records into digital records.

At the end of her report, Lois also mentioned she was retiring at the end of her term and wanted to thank everyone for their support.
