-Probable cause was found for a Taylor County man that threatened a judge and district attorney.

Reports indicate that Patrick R. Staton, of the town of McKinley, had allegedly been making improvised explosive devices and planned to kill a Taylor County judge, district attorney and sheriff's department detective.

Authorities found evidence Staton had manufactured at least one bomb and intended to explode it in the courthouse to kill the judge and district attorney. He also allegedly "boasted" he knew where the detective lived and planned to blow up the detective's home.

Defense attorney Voss request that the devices that were found be examined by an expert. District attorney Mark Fuhr had no objections.

Staton entered a plea of not guilty on all charges. The case is bound for a jury trial at the end of October.
