NACC Unveils "Shop Local 30"

Shop Local 30 is a new campaign from the Neillsville Area Chamber of Commerce which will give community residents the opportunity to offer their feedback to local retailers.
Residents and businesses can sign up thru the month of August and then near the end of the month the Chamber will send out a packet to the consumer which includes a list of products provided at stores and feedback forms that they can return once a week.
According to NACC Executive Director Deanna Heiman, the participants will pledge to shop Neillsville exclusively for 30 days starting Sept. 1st and if they would need to shop out of town because a product couldn't be found locally they would then keep track of what they purchased and where they purchased it at.
The data from the Shop Local 30 campaign will be compiled after the campaign and that data will be passed along to local businesses.

Heiman says this is a great opportunity for consumers to find out what our local businesses have to offer and for businesses to find out what consumers are going out of town to buy.
