Rapids Man Crashes Into Home

-A Wisconsin Rapids man crashed his vehicle into an unoccupied home on Tuesday afternoon.
Jesse Olson, 75, of Rapids was traveling east on 13 between Keisling Road and East Bend Road when he drifted onto the shoulder.
Olson over-corrected onto the road, entered the other lane, and then into the south ditch.
He drove out of the ditch and into the lawn of a residence on 13 before striking the front of the home owned by Terry Eichsteadt, 39, of Pittsville. Eichsteadt was not home at the time.
Jesse Olson was not injured, but his passenger, Barbara Olson, 69, was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital by ambulance for non-life threatening injuries.
Olson was cited as a result of the accident.
