-A Gilman man made an appearance in Taylor County Court earlier this week.

Patrick Staton has charges of possession of explosives for unlawful purpose, possession of drug paraphernalia, and bail jumping both felony and misdemeanor filed against him.

Staton was arrested back in May after police received a tip that he was making explosive devices to allegedly kill a Taylor County judge and attorney.

Staton’s attorney waived the reading of the complaint and requested a preliminary hearing.

Staton will appear in court for his preliminary hearing in August and his jury trial is set to start in late October.
