The Highground's Independence Day Event

-The Highground Veterans Memorial Park invites you to participate in an Independence Day event on Wednesday, July 4th starting at 10:00 a.m.
The tolling of the Liberty Bell will signal the start of the ceremony and the Neillsville American Legion Post 73 and the Loyal American Legion Post 175 will present their colors.
Colonel Steven W. Nott, Garrison Commander of Ft. McCoy will be the guest speaker. Col. Steven W. Nott assumed duties as Garrison Commander at Fort McCoy Feb. 29, 2012. Immediately prior to this assignment he served as the Military Executive for the Army Reserve Forces Policy Committee within the office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Manpower and Reserve Affairs, Washington D.C.
As is tradition at The Highground, the names of all the Wisconsin soldiers who have paid the ultimate sacrifice and lost their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan will be read aloud.
