Former FBI Agents Says, "Killings Consistent With Professional Hit."

-The defense finished Tuesday’s testimony with its firearm expert, William Tobin, who said the Koula killings are consistent with a professional hit.

Tobin, a former FBI agent, said, A .22-caliber gunshot wound to the head is most common in organized crime.

Investigators argue Koula killed his parents with a .22-caliber rifle recovered from a bedroom closet.

But Tobin said it’s more likely than not that the killer used a .22-caliber handgun. “Someone who has done their homework in committing this type of crime would have the foresight in removing as much forensic evidence as possible.”

The killer could have used a silencer because gunshot residue wasn’t recovered on the victims, Tobin added.

Tobin said, rifles are not common weapons in professional hits and he couldn’t say whether the same gun was used to kill the Koulas.
