NO CHARGES IN THE RUDY CASE EXPECTED THURSDAY

Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director

It remains unclear what new information we’ll learn during a press conference on the Christine Rudy case but, but WCCN has learned criminal charges will not be announced.

Christine Rudy, 21, was reported missing on November 14th. Her husband, Shaun Rudy, said he last saw his wife on November 12th when he left her on County Trunk Hwy “MM” near the Clark/Eau Claire County border.

She was believed to be six-months pregnant.

After exhaustive searches, the Clark County Sheriff’s Department announced in mid-December they found remains that were later identified as being those of Christine Rudy and the investigation had turned "criminal".

Clark County District Attorney Darwin Zwieg confirmed that he will not participate in the press conference. He says he is still missing some key information, including the cause of death.

Again, The Clark County Sheriff’s Department is holding a 10 a.m. news conference Thurday morning. We’ll carry it live on all three of our Central Wisconsin Broadcasting stations.
