Here's what happened in Sunday's action around the Northwoods League...
In one of the best pitching duels so far in 2012, the Eau Claire Express pitching staff prevailed in a 2-1 victory over Wisconsin Rapids. Matt Trowbridge (Central Michigan) threw eight innings and allowed just one run on three hits. He also struck out six batters. The Express travel to Lakeshore for a 6:35 p.m. start tonight. The Rafters look to bounce back on tonight when they travel to Madison to take on the Mallards at 7:05 p.m.

The Woodchucks host La Crosse tonight beginning at 6:35 p.m.
