Colby Fifth Graders Raise Money for Meditation Stone

-On May 18, the Colby fifth grade class was present at a special meditation stone placement at The Highground.
The Stone was for Michelle Witmer who was killed in action in Baghdad.
The fifth graders raised $325 dollars for Witmer after their teacher told them about another time a fifth grade class had raised money for a KIA.
They contacted The Highground asking for a special KIA. Witmer's name was given to them, and they contacted her parents for permission to do this project.
The students did a great job raising the money, but the remaining $175 that was needed was added by donors when they heard what the students were doing.
